Soldering results from the interfacial interactions between the die and the casting alloy during high pressure die casting and is one of the major die failure modes. To prevent this occurring, lubricant layers and surface coatings are used to act as a barrier between the die and the casting alloy.
At beginning i was prove and validate between real die temperature and results on numerical simulation. I used heat gun to map temperature distribution across the die. The results showed correct trends and temperature profile. So i was confident that the parameters entered to numerical was correct.
